Dan Grade Interviews.

Online Now!!

Tony Heseltine 5th Dan

Sensei Tony Heseltine 5th Dan

Again thankyou to Sensei Heseltine for his interview. I have had a lot of feedback from many students who are very happy with the answers given.

Our next Dan grade up for interview is Sensei Mick Hajdysz 4th Dan.

There is only a week left to get your questions in so please send them sooner rather than later. This will help me make sure everyone has at least one of their questions answered.

Sensei Cottier Course.

Sensei Ken Cottier Shihan

Ken Cottier Shihan

6th Dan

We have Sensei Cottier teaching on the 10th December at Wakefield City High School.

There will be only Yudansha gradings taking place on the day, however, Kyu grades wishing to take examination MUST attend this course to qualify for examination at the Tuesday night class, date to be announced.

As part of your examination, you will be watched and assessed on the 10th December as part of your grading. If you wish to take examination this time, please make sure your name is down with your club instructor at least 2 weeks prior to the examination.

This is to allow Jackie sufficient time to process the administration needed for the students wishing to grade.

Sensei Riley's 30 Year drinks.

Once again, congratulations to Sensei Riley. His celebration drinks were very well attended with plenty of Food, Drinks, Gifts.

Thankyou to Mick and Janet for presenting Sensei with his Buddha ( Little Mick ) and his wonderful new underpants (one of Mick's unwanted Christmas gifts). Sensei Derrick was taking plenty of photo's on the night so I am sure these will be on the website quite soon.

Also a really big thankyou to Bernard Maloney and his Partner for all the organising of the event. Not only the venue but the food was perfect for a very special evening.

Thankyou Bernard.

Because Sensei Riley was somewhat lost for words on the night, he has put his message of thanks in writing to everyone who attended and organised the event. Please click here.

Website News.

There are 3 new additions to the website.

1. Weekley Class Schedules.

This page is dedicated to keeping you all informed of any changes to class schedules or change of Sensei's.

It is also used for keeping up with Sensei Maloney's whereabouts when and where he is teaching weapons work on a weekley basis. This is very important information if you wish to refresh on kata's and such, also if you are taking examination.

Because Sensei Maloney is dedicating his time to teaching weapons, you will have no excuse on grading day if you say you don't know your weapons work. By checking these pages you will always know where and when you can learn your weapons work from week to week.

This page will always be upto date with correct information relating to changes in schedules.

2. Martial Arts Illustrated Full Interview.

If you were unable to get a copy of Sensei Riley's interview by Martial Arts Illustrated, I have managed to put it onto the website pages for you to read. You can find this via the contents page.

3. White Rose Aikikai Chat Rooms.

Due to popular demand I have found a suitable provider for the website to host its own Community chat room. This is accessible from the contents page and newsletter. It will require you to register with a username and password to be able to post any threads on the room.

This is a request from several students, however if it is not used properly, it will be removed at the request of Sensei Riley. This does not mean you cannot have fun with it, however it does mean, keep the conversations club related with no swearing or disrespect in any way. I am sure you will all do this anyway, however, other forums Sensei Riley and myself have been on have turned into quite a pantomime.

Club Apparel.

The first batch of baseball caps have now been ordered, however if you require one please see Ashley as soon as possible or you can still purchase them from the Online Shop. If you have already ordered a cap then please bring your payment as soon as possible as I have to pay for them when I collect them.

We have other Idea's in the pipeline for club related goods. I will update you on any new club merchandise as I get to know.

We are still taking orders for the new White Rose T-Shirts. Either your club instructor or Ashley has an order form so please make sure your name is down for one if you are wanting one.

If you wish to purchase a T-Shirt Online please Click Here.

You can now view the T-Shirt here.
