October 2007 Newsletter Durham 20th October Course As many of you know there is a course being held in Durham on Saturday the 20th October which is being taught by Sensei Riley. The course will be taking place in the West Gym at East Hild Bede College and start at 11am and run until 4pm. During the course a number of gradings will be taking place during the day so if you are taking a grading make sure that you are well prepared and know what will be required of you. If you are unsure speak to your club instructor and feel free to browse the online grading syllabus located in the beginner section of the website. In the evening there is a meal organised at a local restaurant in Durham which has been organised by Sean Cassidy for all those who staying up for the night. Also if you are unsure of the locations of the course or require directions do not hesitate to email us and we will help you in any way that we can. Mailing List As of this month the mailing list will be in affect and the newsletter will be sent to all those on the mailing list. The mailing list will be used primarily for the newsletters which are published each month however if there are changes to times or venues for planned courses an email will be sent out using the mailing list as well. If you would like to be added or removed from the mailing list email us at enquiries@whiteroseaikido.com and the mailing list will be updated. Sensei Riley and Ireland In September Sensei Riley and Sensei Heseltine along with a number of students went to Ireland to host an Aikido Demonstration which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Sensei Riley has informed me there are pictures from the event and they will be available in the Gallery soon so keep checking for new additions. Christmas Course I have been informed by Sensei Riley that the Christmas course is planned for the 8th of December at Wakefield City High School. There is no news about definite times or if there will be a guest instructor but as soon as any information is confirmed it it will be posted in the courses section of the website.
