September 2007 Newsletter

Website Redesign

As many of you may have noticed in recent months there have been a number of changes to the website.  We have attempted to streamline the website so that it is a lot easier to navigate.  I have included a summary of all of the main changes below:

Media:-
This is a combination of the photo galleries as well as the video clips section

Dojos:-
This was the previously named contact section of the website. This contains a list of all the White Rose Dojos in Yorkshire and the North East of England including training times.

Merchandise:-
This section is revised webstore section which contains links to websites and stores from which you are able to get all martial arts related equipment and merchandise from.

Feedback:-
This section is a general feedback section for all types of feedback relating to the website.  This includes: -Leave Feedback, Public Feedback Area, Ask Sensei?, Suggestions Page, Guestbook and Forum

Articles:-
This section contains any interviews, magazine or news articles relating to Aikido

September 9th Class

Sensei Derrick has informed me that on the 9th of September the class in Cleckheaton will not be on, it will be back on as normal the following week.

Durham University Aikido Website

Over recent months myself and Nick Simpson have been working together to redesign the Durham University Aikido Club Website, I am glad to say that all the improvements are finally finished. The website includes a Gallery, Video Clips as well as Forum/Messageboard, so feel free to have a look and post of the form.   The links for both of these websites are listed below as well as in the links section of the website.

Durham October Course

On October 20th there is a course planned to take place in Durham which is to be taught by Sensei Riley.  The exact times for the course is not known at present but as soon as it is known it will listed in the course section of the website. 

Mailing List

I am trying to compile a mailing list of all White Rose Members so that each month you will receive a copy of the newsletter as well as any news regarding Courses, website updates as well as any other news.  If you would like to be added to the list email enquiries@whiteroseaikido.com and you name and email address will be added.

If there are questions regarding anything mentioned or if you have any news that you wish to be published in next months newsletter do not hesitate to email me.
