Along side my traditional aikido practice I am a qualified conflict management tutor. I was involved for several years giving inputs to North Yorkshire police trainers, teaching control and restraint techniques and defensive theory.

I have also been involved with door supervisor training and over the years have supervised at live boxing events, motorcycle rallies and nightclubs.

This other aspect to my aikido practice has broadened my views on aikido and has benefited myself and my students to appreciate the practical aspect of aikido as well as allowing us to understand the philosophy of this beautiful art that O Sensei gave to us all.
