I have been training in Aikido since 1996 and I have had the pleasure of training at a number of dojos in the UK and internationally and learning a number of different styles. I have also complimented my Aikido over the years with Boxing, Muay Thai and some Jiu-Jitsu.

I started out in Yoshinkan at The Shudokan Institute of Aikido under Eddie Stratton Sensei and John Russell Sensei, achieving 1st kyu in 2001. I relocated and there was not a Yoshinkan dojo close by so I trained on and off at various Aikikai dojos but always missed the directness of Yoshinkan.

I discovered White Rose Aikikai in 2011 and immediately, I knew I had found what I had been looking for. I was soon introduced to Shane Riley Sensei and his uncompromising and direct style measured with excellent etiquette was perfect for what I wanted out of martial arts. I have been with the White Rose ever since, being promoted to Sandan in April 2018. I am also a BAB certified instructor.

I have trained Aikido all over the world including France, Belgium, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand and have recently had the privilege of opening a White Rose Dojo in Bangkok.
